When Bhai Mardana Ji mentioned the scarcity of drinking water in the dense forest, Guru Nanak Dev Ji instructed: "Play the Rabab!" As Bhai Mardana struck the chords and divine melody resonated, a perennial spring of sweet crystal-clear water burst forth from the earth. Quenching his thirst, Mardana marvelled at its sweetness. Guru Ji blessed: "This is the land of celestial souls; hence this water is blessed with celestial sweetness."
