A leper arrived crying for salvation. Satguru Ji had him bathe in and drink from the miraculous spring, instantly curing his leprosy. Grateful, the cured devotee prayed that the spring be blessed for all humanity. Guru Nanak Dev Ji bestowed the divine boon: "Whoever with true devotion bathes in this Sarovar shall be cured of illnesses, and those yearning for offspring shall be blessed with children."
